The Dareu A87 Pro features a gasket-mounted structure, which means the keyboard plate is secured without screws, offering stable performance without vibrations or wobbling. This design choice enhances the typing experience by providing a solid and consistent feel with each keystroke.

Can I customize the switches on the A87 Pro?

Yes, the A87 Pro comes with a full-key hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to easily swap out the mechanical switches. It supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, giving you the freedom to tailor the keyboard's feel to your personal preference.

Absolutely! The A87 Pro is equipped with full RGB backlighting, allowing you to customize the lighting effects to match your style or mood. Whether you want a subtle glow or a vibrant display, the keyboard has you covered.

What are the key benefits of the Dareu A87 Pro's switches?

The A87 Pro offers DAREU's latest Purple Gold Tactile mechanical switches, known for their tactile feedback similar to Brown switches, with a lifespan of up to 80 million keystrokes. Alternatively, you can choose Sky V3 custom switches for a linear operation, catering to different typing and gaming preferences.

Product Description

The Dareu A87 Pro is a compact, wired mechanical keyboard suited for users who want a tenkeyless layout with customizable switch options and a quieter typing experience. It fits well for office workers or hobbyists who prefer a stable, hot-swappable keyboard without wireless connectivity. Its design balances desk space efficiency and typing comfort.

Key Features

87-key tenkeyless layout saves desk space while retaining essential keys like function row and arrow keys.
Full-key hot-swappable PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, allowing easy customization of typing feel without soldering.
Full-key rollover with no key conflict ensures all keystrokes register accurately during fast typing or gaming.
RGB backlighting provides customizable lighting effects for visibility in various lighting conditions.

Build Quality

Gasket-mounted structure uses silicone pads between the plate and case, reducing vibrations and providing a softer typing feel.
High-toughness sound-absorbing silicone pad reduces noise and dampens keystroke sound for a quieter experience.
Durable PBT keycaps resist wear and maintain texture over time compared to ABS keycaps.
Keyboard plate is secured without screws, contributing to a stable, wobble-free typing surface.

Typing Experience

Available with Dareu’s Purple Gold tactile switches, which offer a Brown-like tactile bump and up to 80 million keystrokes lifespan.
Also available with Sky V3 linear switches for users who prefer smooth, consistent keystrokes without tactile feedback.
Specially adjusted stabilizers improve key stability and reduce rattle on larger keys.

Connectivity

Wired USB Type-C connection only, providing stable, low-latency input without wireless interference.
Less suitable for users needing Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless options.

Trade-offs

No wireless connectivity limits flexibility for mobile or multi-device use.
Gasket mount and silicone pads may soften typing feel, which some users might find less crisp compared to traditional mounting styles.
Limited to 87 keys, so users needing a numpad must look elsewhere.
