The DK1 keyboard features a CNC-milled aluminum top case paired with a bottom case made from aluminum, brass, or copper depending on the variant. The anodized or painted surface finish adds durability and a refined aesthetic, making it a standout piece in any setup.

The DK1 employs a thoughtfully designed silicone mounting system, including silicone positioning mounts for the plate and silicone sleeve mounts for the PCB. This gasket-like mounting approach creates a consistent and pleasantly dampened typing feel, significantly reducing unwanted noise and vibrations for a more controlled and satisfying acoustic experience.

Absolutely. The DK1 comes with a hot-swap PCB, allowing users to easily swap out switches without soldering. This makes it highly versatile for enthusiasts who enjoy experimenting with different switch types to tailor the keyboard's feel and sound to their preferences.

The DK1 features a compact 60% ANSI layout, measuring approximately 292.5 mm in width, 110 mm in depth, and 30.5 mm in height with a front height of about 15.5 mm and a typing angle around 8 degrees. This compact form factor saves desk space while retaining essential keys for efficient typing.

Depending on the bottom case material, the assembled keyboard weighs around 1.73 kg with an aluminum counterweight or about 2.03 kg with a copper counterweight. This substantial weight contributes to excellent stability, preventing the keyboard from sliding around during intense typing sessions.

When connected via USB-C or 2.4 GHz wireless, the DK1 delivers a high polling rate of 1,000 Hz, ensuring responsive and lag-free input. Over Bluetooth, the polling rate is 125 Hz, which is sufficient for everyday use but slightly less responsive compared to wired or 2.4 GHz modes.
