Product Description

The Fl·esports F12 Kailh Box is a compact 65% mechanical keyboard suited for users who want a space-saving design with customizable switches and lighting. It fits well for hobbyists who like to swap switches without soldering, and for those needing wireless options with extended battery life. The keyboard offers a balance between portability and functionality, including arrow keys and macro support, making it useful for both productivity and casual use.

Key Features

68-key 65% layout saves desk space while retaining essential keys like arrows and navigation.
Hot-swappable PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin Kailh Box switches, allowing easy switch replacement without soldering.
Two variants: RGB backlight with customizable lighting and wireless modes, or blue mono backlight with wired connection.
Macro programming through custom software enables multi-key shortcuts and automation.
Dual-tone PBT keycaps resist wear and oil, providing a durable and comfortable typing surface.

Build Quality and Typing Experience

ABS plastic case keeps the keyboard lightweight and portable.
Sound-absorbing sandwich cotton padding (RGB variant) reduces typing noise and stabilizes keypress feel.
Kailh Box Red and White switches offer smooth, consistent keypresses with a lifespan over 50 million keystrokes.
OEM profile keycaps provide a familiar typing shape suitable for most users.

Connectivity and Battery

RGB variant supports three wireless modes plus wired connection, useful for multi-device setups and mobility.
Blue backlight variant is wired only, limiting flexibility but simplifying setup.
Battery capacity varies by variant, with the RGB model offering longer use between charges.

Trade-offs

Compact layout omits some keys found on full-size boards, which may reduce convenience for users needing function row or dedicated navigation clusters.
ABS case material is less durable and premium-feeling than metal alternatives.
Software customization is required for macros and lighting, which may not suit users preferring plug-and-play setups.
Noise dampening is only available on the RGB variant, so the blue backlight model may be louder.
