Product Description

The Sunkey Sun68 is a 65% mechanical keyboard kit designed for users who want a compact layout with a gasket-mounted design for improved typing feel. It suits hobbyists who prefer building or customizing their keyboard, as it comes as a kit without pre-installed switches or keycaps. This keyboard is good if you want a quieter, softer typing experience and enjoy modding your setup. It is less ideal if you need wireless connectivity or a fully assembled keyboard out of the box.

Key Features

Gasket-mounted design cushions the typing surface, reducing harsh feedback and providing a softer, more comfortable feel.
65% layout offers a compact footprint while retaining arrow keys and essential navigation keys, balancing desk space and functionality.
Supports ANSI layout, which is widely compatible with keycap sets and user preferences.

Build Quality

Case options include anodized aluminum in silver or black, providing durability and a solid typing platform.
Gasket mount helps isolate the plate from the case, which can reduce noise and vibrations during typing.
Kit format requires user assembly, allowing customization but requiring some mechanical keyboard knowledge.

Typing Experience

The gasket mount softens keystrokes, making it suitable for users who prefer quieter and less rigid feedback.
Switches and keycaps are not included, so the feel and sound depend on user choices.

Trade-offs

No wireless connectivity, limiting use to wired setups only.
Being a kit, it requires assembly and sourcing switches and keycaps separately, which may not suit beginners.
Limited to ANSI layout, which may not fit all regional preferences.
