Product Description

The PERMECH Origami100 is a wired mechanical keyboard designed for users who value a solid, stable typing platform with customizable sound and feel. Its gasket mount design and foam kit aim to reduce typing noise and provide a softer keypress. This keyboard suits hobbyists and typists who want a tactile experience with some acoustic dampening, but it may be less ideal for those needing wireless connectivity or a lightweight setup.

Key Features

Gasket mount construction cushions the typing experience, reducing harsh bottom-out sounds and vibrations.
Includes a full internal foam kit to further dampen noise and improve acoustic profile.
Compatible with both steel and PCB-mount stabilizers, allowing flexible customization of key feel and stability.
RGB lighting is supported via the PCB, controlled through a web-based driver for easy customization without additional software.

Build Quality

The keyboard uses a thick 1.2 mm PCB and an FR4 plate, contributing to a sturdy and durable typing surface.
Its case measures 458 × 145 × 42 mm and weighs approximately 4 kg, making it a heavy and stable board that resists movement during use.
Custom natural-color stainless-steel screws and silicone bumpers are included, enhancing assembly quality and reducing case vibrations.

Typing Experience

The 8° typing angle supports a comfortable wrist position for extended use.
Gasket mount and internal foam combine to soften keystrokes and reduce echo, providing a quieter and more cushioned feel compared to traditional tray-mounted keyboards.
Stabilizer compatibility allows users to fine-tune larger keys for less rattle and more consistent feedback.

Connectivity

Wired-only connection ensures a stable and low-latency input, suitable for users who prioritize responsiveness.
No wireless options are available, which may limit portability or multi-device use.

Trade-offs

The keyboard’s weight and size make it less portable and more suited for a fixed desk setup.
Lack of wireless connectivity may be a drawback for users seeking cable-free use or multi-device switching.
Web-based driver requires internet access and may not offer the same depth of customization as dedicated software.
