The Jamesdonkey R2 is a compact 100-key mechanical keyboard designed for users who want a balance of wireless versatility, comfortable typing, and customization. Its hot-swappable sockets allow easy switch changes, appealing to hobbyists who like to customize their feel without soldering.
The case is made from CNC-machined 6063 aluminum alloy, providing a solid and durable chassis with a refined finish. The gasket pro mounting uses silicone sleeves and Poron gaskets to suspend the PCB, reducing harsh vibrations and contributing to a softer typing feel. Multiple layers of internal padding further absorb sound and shock, enhancing acoustic comfort.
The gasket pro structure combined with multi-layered padding results in a quieter, cushioned typing experience. Customized White Wings linear POM switches offer smooth keystrokes without tactile bumps, suited for users preferring light, consistent keypresses. The five-sided heat sublimation PBT keycaps are durable and resist shine over time.
Users can switch between wired USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless modes. The wireless options provide low-latency response suitable for gaming or general use, while wired mode ensures stable connection when preferred. This versatility supports multiple devices and usage scenarios.
