Which switch options are available for this keyboard?

You can choose from a wide range of mechanical switches, including Cherry MX (Brown, Clear, Blue, Red, Silver, Silent Red), Matias (Quiet Click, Click, Linear), ALPS (Red, Brown, Blue, KSB-C), Fukka (White, Black), and several Kailh BOX and Speed variants. This selection allows for a customized typing or gaming experience.

Does the V60 Vintage support key rollover for gaming?

Are the keycaps on the KBParadise V60 Vintage durable?

The V60 Vintage uses laser-etched ABS keycaps in a classic beige and off-white colorway. While ABS is less resistant to shine over time compared to PBT, the laser-etched legends are clear and durable, ensuring the vintage look lasts through extended use.

Is the KBParadise V60 Vintage hot-swappable?

No, this keyboard does not feature a hot-swappable PCB. Switches are plate-mounted and require soldering for replacement, so swapping switches is best suited for users comfortable with soldering.

Does this keyboard have any backlighting?

The KBParadise V60 Vintage is designed to capture a classic, retro feel and does not include any backlighting or LEDs. This keeps the focus on its timeless aesthetic and clean look.

What kind of layout does the V60 Vintage use?

Can I use this keyboard with my Mac or Linux computer?

While the V60 Vintage is officially Windows-compatible, it can also work with Mac and Linux systems via USB. Some key remapping may be required for optimal use, especially for Mac-specific shortcuts.

Are the legends on the keycaps printed on the top or front?

The legends are laser-etched onto the top of the keycaps, in a subtle grey color that complements the vintage theme and ensures good readability.

What is the length of the USB cable included with the keyboard?

The KBParadise V60 Vintage comes with a 60-inch (approximately 1.5 meters) USB cable, providing ample length for most desktop setups.

Product Description

The KBParadise V60 Vintage is a compact 60% mechanical keyboard designed for users who want a small footprint with a classic look. It suits typists and hobbyists who prefer a simple, wired setup with a variety of MX-compatible switch options. Its fixed key rollover and non-hotswap design make it better for users who do not plan to frequently change switches. The vintage beige keycaps offer a distinct aesthetic but come without backlighting, which may limit visibility in low light.

Key Features

Compact 60% layout saves desk space and supports a US QWERTY ANSI layout, ideal for minimalists and those who prioritize portability.
Plate-mounted switches provide a stable typing feel, suitable for users who prefer consistent keypress feedback.
Laser-etched ABS keycaps resist wear on legends but may develop shine over time compared to PBT keycaps.
Six-key rollover limits simultaneous key presses, which is sufficient for most typing tasks but less ideal for complex gaming key combinations.

Typing Experience

Wide range of switch options, including Cherry MX, Kailh BOX, ALPS, Matias, and Fukka variants, allows users to select tactile, linear, or clicky feedback based on preference.
Non-hotswap design means switches are soldered or fixed, requiring technical skill to replace or customize switches.
ABS keycaps with laser-etched legends offer a smooth feel but may be less durable than thicker keycap materials.

Build Quality and Design

Black frame with vintage beige keycaps provides a retro aesthetic that stands out from modern keyboards.
Plate mount construction enhances rigidity and typing stability.
Prebuilt assembly with a 60-inch USB cable supports straightforward plug-and-play use.

Connectivity and Compatibility

Wired USB connection ensures reliable communication with minimal latency, suitable for Windows systems.
Supports standard ANSI layout, compatible with most keycap sets and software on Windows.
Unknown firmware customization options, limiting remapping or macro programming capabilities.

Trade-offs

No backlighting or LED indicators, reducing usability in dark environments.
Six-key rollover may restrict complex input scenarios, especially in gaming.
Non-hotswap design limits ease of switch replacement or experimentation.
ABS keycaps may wear faster than PBT alternatives, affecting long-term durability.
