What is Rapid Trigger and how does it benefit my gaming experience?

Rapid Trigger is a feature that dynamically registers key presses and releases based on the slightest movement, rather than waiting for the key to be fully pressed or released. This means actions in games, especially fast-paced shooters or rhythm games, are registered more quickly, giving you a competitive edge with faster response times and more precise control.

Can I customize the actuation point on the Keydous NJ81CP V2 Rapid Trigger?

Yes! The NJ81CP V2 allows you to finely adjust the actuation point for each key, letting you tailor how sensitive your keyboard feels. Whether you prefer a hair-trigger response for gaming or a deeper actuation for typing, you can set it up to match your style.

Is the NJ81CP V2 suitable for both gaming and typing?

Absolutely. While the rapid trigger technology makes it ideal for gaming, the keyboard’s smooth switches and customizable actuation points also provide a comfortable and efficient typing experience. The versatility makes it a solid choice for both work and play.

Yes, the Keydous NJ81CP V2 Rapid Trigger supports both wired and wireless modes, including Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless. This flexibility means you can easily switch between different devices or setups without missing a beat.

What kind of switches does the NJ81CP V2 use?

The NJ81CP V2 is equipped with advanced magnetic switches that enable the rapid trigger functionality. These switches offer smooth and consistent keystrokes, and their actuation points are fully adjustable, making them ideal for users who want both performance and customization.

Can I use the NJ81CP V2 with Mac and Windows?

Yes, the NJ81CP V2 is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. You can easily switch layouts, and the keyboard functions seamlessly across different platforms.

How do I configure the lighting and key assignments?

Is the keyboard hot-swappable?

Yes, the NJ81CP V2 features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change out switches without soldering. This makes it easy to experiment with different switch types or replace a switch if needed.

Product Description

The Keydous NJ81CP V2 is a compact 75% mechanical keyboard designed for users who want versatile connectivity and fast input response. It suits gamers and typists who value low latency and customizable key behavior. Its magnetic Gateron Jade Pro switches offer adjustable actuation and special functions to enhance input speed and accuracy.

Key Features

Three-mode connectivity with wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth, allowing flexible use across devices.
Gateron Jade Pro magnetic switches with adjustable trigger points from 0.1mm to 3.4mm, enabling tailored key sensitivity.
Rapid Trigger function activates keys at an initial 0.1mm travel, reducing input delay for faster response.
Snap Tap function prioritizes the last pressed key between two simultaneous inputs, useful for quick emergency commands in gaming.
8K polling rate support on wired and 2.4GHz modes, providing ultra-low latency input with response times around 0.125ms.
Full-key programmability via web-based software, allowing customization of key functions and lighting effects.
16 million color RGB backlighting with adjustable brightness and effects.

Connectivity

The keyboard supports three connection modes: wired USB for stable, low-latency use; 2.4GHz wireless for fast, reliable wireless performance; and Bluetooth for compatibility with multiple devices. The 8K polling rate is available only on wired and 2.4GHz modes, not Bluetooth, which may have higher latency.

Typing Experience

The magnetic Gateron Jade Pro switches provide smooth keystrokes with Hall effect sensing, which improves switch durability and input precision. Adjustable actuation allows users to fine-tune key sensitivity for either faster key presses or more deliberate typing. The keyboard’s internal padding may reduce noise and vibration, contributing to a quieter experience.

Battery Life

Equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, the keyboard offers about 18 hours of use with backlighting on, and up to 300 hours with backlighting off. This supports extended wireless sessions without frequent recharging.

Trade-offs

The compact 75% layout omits a dedicated number pad, which may limit productivity for users needing extensive numeric input.
Bluetooth mode does not support the ultra-low latency 8K polling rate, potentially affecting performance in fast-paced gaming.
Weight of 1kg makes it less portable compared to lighter wireless keyboards.
Build material details are unknown, so durability and feel cannot be fully assessed.
