Product Description

The Apos Kono 67° is a compact 65% mechanical keyboard suited for users who want a customizable, wireless-capable board with easy switch swapping. It fits well for hobbyists who like to tailor switch feel without soldering, and for those needing multi-device connectivity with a built-in volume control. It balances portability with features useful for both casual and productivity use.

Key Features

Hot-swap sockets allow changing switches without soldering, enabling tailored typing feel per key.
Multi-device Bluetooth 5.0 pairing supports up to three devices, plus 2.4GHz wireless and wired USB-C options for flexible connectivity.
Built-in volume dial offers quick audio adjustments and media control without leaving the keyboard.
RGB lighting with north-facing LEDs and doubleshot PBT shine-through keycaps provide clear, customizable backlighting.
Onboard memory stores custom layouts, macros, and lighting profiles, keeping settings consistent across devices.

Build Quality

Plastic outer frame with steel plate mounting offers a balance of durability and weight.
Sound absorbing foam inside reduces typing noise for a quieter experience.
Plate-mounted stabilizers improve key stability on larger keys like the spacebar.

Typing Experience

Available with Kailh Reds (linear) or Browns (tactile, non-clicky) switches, catering to different typing preferences.
Hot-swap support for both 3-pin and 5-pin switches allows extensive customization of feel and sound.
Sound absorbing foam helps moderate acoustics, though overall sound depends on switch choice and keycaps.

Connectivity

Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless use with easy switching between three paired devices, useful for multitasking across computers or tablets.
2.4GHz wireless via included USB-A receiver offers a low-latency alternative to Bluetooth.
Wired USB-C connection supports stable use when wireless is not preferred or battery is low.
Battery capacity is 2400mAh, but actual battery life is unknown.

Trade-offs

Plastic case may feel less premium or sturdy compared to metal alternatives.
Limited to Kailh Reds or Browns switches from the factory, so initial switch feel choices are narrow without user swapping.
Software customization requires downloading the Kono67 Utility, which may not be as polished or widely supported as other keyboard software.
Unknown battery life and no explicit mention of OS compatibility beyond Bluetooth standard.
