Product Description

The Mxrskey WINGMAN XII USB Expansion Port is a compact mechanical keyboard with 12 keys and a knob, designed for users who want a programmable input device with customizable lighting and switch testing capabilities. It suits hobbyists or professionals needing a small, hot-swappable keypad for macros, media control, or switch evaluation, rather than a full-sized typing keyboard.

Key Features

All keys and the knob support programming, allowing custom macros, backlight adjustments, and music rhythm synchronization for personalized control.
Hot-swappable switches enable easy replacement or testing without soldering, useful for switch enthusiasts or developers.
Two-way Type-C connection offers flexible wired placement options to fit different desk setups.
Functions as a switch tester, helping users evaluate switch feel and sound before committing to a full keyboard.

Build Quality

Constructed with an aluminum alloy CNC anodized case and integrated positioning plate, providing a sturdy and stable base.
Transparent matte keycaps and transparent Phantom switches enhance visibility of RGB lighting while maintaining a muted texture.

Typing Experience

Switch feel and sound depend on the transparent Phantom switches, which are replaceable due to hot-swappability.
Customizable RGB backlighting allows users to adjust lighting effects to suit preferences or ambient conditions.

Compatibility

Supports Windows via dedicated software for programming and driver installation.
Layout is limited to 12 keys plus a knob, making it unsuitable as a primary keyboard but effective as a supplementary device.

Trade-offs

Limited key count restricts use to specific tasks like macro input or media control, not general typing.
No wireless connectivity options, requiring a wired connection at all times.
Software support is only confirmed for Windows; compatibility with other operating systems is unknown.
