Product Description

The Dascom NIB DAS 320 Terminal is a mechanical keyboard designed for users who appreciate vintage terminal-style layouts and tactile feedback. It suits typists or enthusiasts looking for a robust, classic keyboard experience with Cherry Vintage Black switches, known for their firm, linear feel. This keyboard is less ideal for those seeking quiet or compact options, as it retains a traditional terminal form factor and switch sound profile.

Key Features

Uses Cherry Vintage Black switches, offering a firm, linear keystroke suitable for heavy typists who prefer consistent resistance without tactile bumps.
DCS profile doubleshot keycaps provide durable legends and a sculpted typing surface, enhancing key recognition and comfort over long sessions.
Includes a coiled RJ cable with an RJ11 connector, reflecting its terminal heritage; an adapter for modern hardware and VIA software support is available separately for key remapping.

Build Quality

Constructed with a vintage terminal design, the keyboard has a sturdy build that prioritizes durability over portability.
Packaging options include A-stock (no major damage) and B-stock (outer packaging damaged), both new in box.

Connectivity and Compatibility

Wired connection via RJ11 port requires an adapter for USB compatibility on modern systems.
Supports VIA software, allowing users to customize key functions and layouts on compatible operating systems.

Trade-offs

The keyboard’s vintage layout and RJ11 connector may require additional adapters, adding complexity for users with modern setups.
Cherry Vintage Black switches are linear and firm, which may not suit users who prefer tactile or quieter switches.
Unknown details on case material and mounting style limit assessment of long-term durability and typing acoustics.
