The VALKYRIE VK75 is a compact 75% mechanical keyboard suited for users who want a balance between desk space and functionality, such as office workers or hobbyists who customize switches. It offers versatile connectivity and a hot-swappable design, making it adaptable for different setups and easy to maintain or modify. Its focus on typing comfort and sound dampening also appeals to those who type for extended periods.
The keyboard uses a leaf-spring gasket-mounted structure, which provides softer keypresses with smooth movement and satisfying rebound. Multi-layered internal padding reduces sound resonance, resulting in quieter, softer typing acoustics. Keycaps are made of wear-resistant PBT material using a five-sided thermal sublimation process, ensuring durable legends and a non-greasy surface. The keyboard includes finely adjusted satellite stabilizers for more stable larger keys. Users can customize the feel further by swapping any switch thanks to full-key hot-swappable sockets.
The VALKYRIE VK75 supports wired USB, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth modes, allowing connection to multiple devices and easy switching between them. Bluetooth mode can pair with up to three devices, switched via function keys. The large 8,000mAh battery supports extended use even with RGB lighting active, reducing the need for frequent charging.
Along with hot-swappable switches, the keyboard features a removable volume knob that can be replaced with an “Ins” key if preferred. The knob allows volume adjustment and muting with a press, adding convenience without needing software.
The compact 75% layout reduces dedicated navigation and function keys, which may be less ideal for users who rely heavily on those keys. The keyboard’s sound dampening and softer typing feel may not suit users who prefer a firmer, more tactile feedback. Firmware and keymapping details are unknown, which could affect advanced customization needs.
