VALKYRIE VK99 V2

The VK99 V2 is a compact, 99-key-style keyboard: it aims to retain the familiar number-pad functionality of a full-size board while taking up less desk space. The tighter layout may place some navigation keys differently than on a standard full-size keyboard, so check the key arrangement if you rely on a particular shortcut or key position.

Yes. A compact layout with a number pad can suit spreadsheets, writing, and everyday desktop tasks, while the dedicated keys make it practical for games that use frequent keyboard inputs. Whether it fits your setup best will depend on the exact switch and connection options of your version.

Switch replacement depends on whether your particular VK99 V2 version supports hot-swapping. Check the product specifications before buying switches: hot-swap sockets allow compatible switches to be changed without soldering, while soldered switches require more involved repair or modification.

Connection options can vary between versions of the VK99 V2. Check the specifications or the keyboard’s connection controls to confirm whether your unit uses a cable, wireless connection, or both. If it is wireless, verify which connection method it supports and whether your device has the required receiver or Bluetooth capability.

A keyboard can generally send standard keystrokes to either system, but the placement or behavior of modifier keys and special functions may differ. Confirm the VK99 V2’s operating-system support and any mode-switching instructions for your version, especially if you rely on media or shortcut keys.

Customization features depend on the specific VK99 V2 configuration. Check whether your version includes adjustable lighting, onboard controls, or companion software, and review its instructions for supported effects and remapping options.

Confirm the keycap stem type and the sizes of any nonstandard keys, such as the space bar, Shift, Enter, and bottom-row keys. A compact 99-key layout may not match every full-size keycap set, even when the set uses a common stem style.

Disconnect the keyboard or switch it off before cleaning. Use a soft, dry brush or cloth to lift dust between the keys, and avoid spraying liquid directly onto the board. If you remove keycaps, check the keyboard’s instructions first and take care not to pull on a switch or stabilizer.
