Product Description

The Varmilo VA Series V2 Warrior Soar is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard suited for users who want a compact layout with reliable Cherry MX switches. It fits well for typists and gamers who prefer a quieter, distraction-minimized setup and value customization in cable routing and typing acoustics. This keyboard is not designed for users needing hot-swappable switches or multimedia keys.

Key Features

Tenkeyless layout saves desk space while retaining familiar ANSI key arrangement.
Thick dye-sub PBT keycaps offer durable legends that resist wear over time.
Standard USB-C connection ensures broad compatibility and easy cable replacement.
Double-section kickstand provides adjustable typing angles for ergonomic comfort.
Cable grooves on the bottom allow routing from left, right, or center, helping to keep the workspace tidy.
North-facing LEDs reduce interference with keycap legends for clearer backlighting.

Build Quality

Plastic top and bottom case keep the keyboard lightweight but may feel less solid than metal alternatives.
Plate-mounted switch design supports stable keypresses and consistent feel.
Sound-proof silicone pads between PCB and plate reduce typing noise, benefiting quieter environments.

Typing Experience

Choice of genuine Cherry MX switches (Blue, Brown, Red, Silent Red) covers a range from tactile clicky to quiet linear options.
Sound dampening elements help minimize clatter, making it suitable for shared workspaces.
Non-hot-swappable switches limit customization for users who want to easily change switch types.

Compatibility

ANSI layout with US QWERTY logical layout suits standard typing needs.
Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems without known issues.
No built-in audio or microphone ports, so external peripherals are required for sound input/output.

Trade-offs

Lack of multimedia keys may require alternative shortcuts or software for media control.
Plastic construction may not appeal to users seeking a heavier or more premium-feeling keyboard.
No hot-swap support limits switch customization without soldering.
