Product Description

The Yunzii C68 Cat Silicone is a compact 68-key mechanical keyboard designed for users who want flexible connectivity and easy switch customization. It suits hobbyists who swap switches often and users needing wireless options alongside wired use. Its silicone case with a removable cat head adds a unique aesthetic but may affect typing feel compared to harder materials.

Key Features

Supports wired USB-C, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz wireless connections, allowing seamless switching between devices or use cases.
Hotswap PCB compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, enabling quick switch changes without soldering.
4000mAh rechargeable battery supports wireless use, though exact battery life is unknown.
South-facing RGB lighting reduces interference with certain keycap profiles and stabilizers.
N-key rollover ensures all simultaneous key presses register, useful for fast or complex typing.

Build Quality

Silicone case offers a softer, more flexible feel than typical plastic or metal cases, which may dampen typing noise but reduce rigidity.
Polycarbonate plate provides moderate stiffness and durability while keeping weight low.
Double shot PBT keycaps resist shine and wear better than ABS keycaps.
Wireless receiver stores underneath the keyboard for convenience and portability.

Connectivity

Three connection modes suit different environments: wired for low latency, Bluetooth for mobile devices, and 2.4 GHz for stable wireless performance.
Switching between modes requires manual selection, which may interrupt workflow.

Compatibility

ANSI layout with US QWERTY suits standard English typing needs.
Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
Does not support QMK or VIA firmware, limiting advanced key remapping and macro customization.

Trade-offs

Silicone case may feel less solid and could impact typing acoustics compared to harder cases.
Lack of QMK or VIA support restricts firmware customization for users wanting deep remapping.
No built-in audio or microphone ports limits multimedia integration.
Unknown wireless latency and battery life may be a concern for users prioritizing performance or long sessions.
