PBTfans Solch Keycaps Set

PBTfans Solch is a semi-transparent take on the classic Dolch colorway, suited to users who want a familiar, restrained look with a little more visual depth. Its Cherry-shaped keys and MX compatibility make it a straightforward option for many custom keyboard builds. Despite the name, the set uses ABS rather than PBT.

Design

The Dolch-inspired colors keep the look grounded, while the translucent material can make the caps appear brighter when light reaches them. PBTfans icon modifiers give the modifier keys a distinct visual treatment. The design is subtle compared with highly colorful sets, but the transparency makes it less plain than an opaque Dolch-style set.

Feel and material

The sculpted Cherry profile offers a familiar shape for users who prefer a conventional, row-by-row keycap layout. ABS is the material trade-off: choose this set for its appearance, not because you specifically want PBT. The source does not provide details about surface texture or cap thickness.

Compatibility and trade-offs

The set is MX compatible. Base, numpad, spacebar, and 40s options are listed, giving buyers potential coverage for different layouts; check the specific kit contents before choosing, since the available information does not say what each kit includes.

• Good fit: Dolch fans who want a semi-transparent variation and icon modifiers.
• Less ideal: Users seeking PBT, opaque caps, or confirmed shine-through legends. Injection holes are an unavoidable visible manufacturing detail on semi-transparent caps.
