Firstblood F15 Mouse

The Firstblood F15 is a wired gaming mouse designed for users who want ambidextrous ergonomics and adjustable precision. It suits gamers who need a versatile mouse for both left- and right-hand use, with customizable DPI settings for varied sensitivity needs. Its shape and weight customization options also make it a reasonable choice for users seeking comfort during extended sessions.

Sensor and Tracking

The mouse uses a Pixart PMW3338 optical sensor with DPI adjustable from 100 to 16,000 across six levels. This range supports both slow, precise movements and fast, sweeping motions, making it adaptable for different game genres and general use. The sensor’s high sensitivity helps with responsiveness in competitive scenarios, though polling rate details are unknown.

Shape and Ergonomics

The F15 features a symmetrical design suitable for both left- and right-handed users. Its shape supports various grip styles and aims to reduce fatigue during long use. Users can choose between a honeycomb shell for lighter weight or a smooth shell for a solid feel. The included 12 bob-weights allow further weight adjustment to match personal preference.

Buttons and Customization

It offers eight buttons, including a mode switch to toggle between office and gaming settings. Button functions, DPI levels, lighting speed, and double-click speed can be customized via software. This flexibility benefits users who want tailored control layouts or lighting effects. The feel and durability of the switches are not specified.

Build Quality and Connectivity

The mouse is wired with a 1.6m cable, providing stable connectivity without battery concerns. The build emphasizes durability with options for shell type, but details on materials and feet quality are limited. The weight range including bob-weights allows users to balance between stability and agility.

Trade-offs

The F15’s ambidextrous design may be less comfortable for users who prefer highly contoured shapes tailored to one hand. The software customization depends on driver installation, which may affect ease of setup. Cable length is standard but may not suit all desk setups. Unknown details on switch type and polling rate limit assessment of click responsiveness.
