Product Description

The BSUN Aniya Linear switch is a smooth, linear mechanical switch suited for users who prioritize a consistent, quiet keystroke with a deep sound profile. It fits well for typists, coders, and gamers who want a buttery-smooth keypress without tactile bumps or clicks. Its factory lubrication and low-friction materials aim to deliver a refined feel right out of the box.

Feel & Sound

  • Linear action provides a smooth, uninterrupted keystroke without tactile feedback.
  • The full POM housing reduces friction, contributing to a soft, "thocky" sound with a deep bottom-out tone.
  • Suitable for users who prefer a quieter but sonorous typing experience rather than sharp clicks or clacks.

Actuation Characteristics

  • Light actuation force around 42g allows for responsive keypresses with moderate effort.
  • Pre-travel of 2.0mm and total travel of 3.2mm provide a balanced key travel distance common in many mechanical switches.
  • Bottom-out force of 50g offers a noticeable but not harsh end to each keystroke.

Build Quality

  • Stem made from LY material, chosen for low friction and smooth movement.
  • Top and bottom housings are POM (Polyoxymethylene), which helps reduce scratchiness and enhances sound quality.
  • Uses a 20mm single-stage extended spring for consistent force throughout the press.
  • Factory lubrication includes Krytox 205g0 and 105 on sliders and dry film lube on stem sliders and spring, improving smoothness and durability.

Trade-offs

  • Linear design lacks tactile feedback, which may be less suitable for users who prefer noticeable actuation points.
  • While factory lubed, additional lubing or filming could further reduce any minor stem wobble or noise, but this is unknown.
  • Unknown compatibility with hot-swap sockets or LED lighting due to lack of specific data.

Use Cases

  • Good for typing and coding where smooth, consistent keystrokes reduce finger fatigue.
  • Suitable for gaming due to light actuation and smooth travel, allowing quick key presses.
  • Less ideal for users seeking tactile or clicky feedback or extremely quiet switches for noise-sensitive environments.
