Product Description

This linear switch targets users who want a light, fast keypress with minimal resistance. It suits gamers and typists looking for quick actuation and smooth travel without tactile feedback. The switch is not silent, so it may be less ideal for quiet office environments.

Feel & Sound

The switch offers a smooth, linear keystroke with no tactile bump. Its 48g actuation force allows for easy key presses, promoting speed and reducing finger fatigue. It is not designed to be silent, producing moderate sound when bottoming out. The clear polycarbonate top housing may contribute to a slightly crisp sound profile rather than a muted thock.

Actuation Characteristics

With a short 1.00mm pre-travel to actuation, the switch responds quickly to key presses, supporting fast input. Total travel is 3.50mm, providing enough distance to avoid accidental presses while maintaining responsiveness. The extended long spring and long pole design help deliver consistent force and reset feel.

Build Quality

The stem is made of POM, a low-friction material that aids smoothness. The top housing is clear polycarbonate, which is durable and slightly rigid, while the nylon bottom housing adds resilience and reduces housing flex. The switch includes a long spring and a long pole, which can affect the force curve and bottom-out feel.

Compatibility

This is a PCB-mounted switch with five pins, compatible with most standard mechanical keyboard PCBs. It supports single LED lighting but does not specify hot-swap compatibility, so check your keyboard’s mount type before use.

Trade-offs

The switch is not silent, which may be a drawback in noise-sensitive environments. It may require a break-in period to reduce any initial scratchiness, common in new linear switches. The long spring may produce a slightly heavier bottom-out feel compared to lighter springs. Unknown factory lubrication quality means additional lubing might improve smoothness.

Use Cases

Well suited for gaming due to fast actuation and smooth travel. Also good for typists who prefer linear switches and want to minimize finger fatigue. Less ideal for office settings needing quiet operation or users who prefer tactile or clicky feedback.
