The Epomaker Creamy Jade Magnetic HE is a linear Hall Effect switch designed for users with magnetic keyboards, such as gamers or typists seeking smooth, consistent keypresses without tactile bumps. It suits those who want a quiet, low-friction typing experience with a distinct deep sound and fast rebound. This switch is not compatible with standard mechanical keyboards.
The switch offers a smooth, linear keystroke with no tactile feedback. Factory pre-lubing reduces friction, providing a silky feel and eliminating scratchiness, which is the rough or gritty sensation some switches have. It produces a deep "thocky" sound, favored by users who prefer quieter, less clicky feedback. The sound profile is consistent due to the magnetic force gradient.
The force curve starts light and increases steadily, requiring moderate force at bottom-out, which helps reduce finger fatigue during extended use. The 20mm spring length enables a fast and crisp rebound, making it responsive for rapid key presses. Total travel is standard, allowing familiar key movement without surprises.
The switch uses a POM stem for natural smoothness and a PC upper housing that diffuses RGB lighting effectively. The PA66 bottom case adds structural stability. Tight manufacturing tolerances minimize stem wobble, which is the unwanted side-to-side movement that can affect key feel and consistency. It is rated for 100 million keystrokes, indicating high durability.
This switch is compatible only with magnetic (Hall Effect) keyboards that have N-pole magnets facing downwards. It is not suitable for traditional mechanical keyboards. The built-in light diffuser enhances RGB effects but requires compatible keyboard lighting. Unknown if compatible with hot-swap PCBs. The magnetic design limits modification options common to mechanical switches.
