This linear switch offers a smooth and quiet typing experience suited for users who prefer a soft keypress with minimal noise. It fits well in office environments or shared spaces where subdued sound is important. The switch’s design aims to reduce wobble and scratchiness, providing a stable and consistent feel for both typing and light gaming.
The switch delivers a gentle, smooth keystroke without tactile bumps or clicks. Its sound profile is quiet and slightly deep, making it less obtrusive in noise-sensitive settings. The reduced housing wobble contributes to a controlled, stable keypress. Overall, it is good if you want a calm and unobtrusive typing experience, less ideal if you prefer audible or tactile feedback.
With a moderate pre-travel and total travel distance, the switch requires a consistent bottom-out force that feels light but deliberate. This supports smooth keypresses without abrupt resistance or harsh bottoming out. The force curve is linear, so the resistance remains steady throughout the keypress.
The nylon top and bottom housings, combined with a POM stem, reduce friction and contribute to smooth movement. Factory lubrication, which is the application of lubricant during manufacturing, ensures consistent smoothness and reduces scratchiness from the start. A small plastic insert in the bottom housing minimizes wobble, enhancing stability and control.
The switch uses a 5-pin design suitable for PCB mounting. It does not include an LED diffuser, which may affect lighting effects if RGB is a priority. Factory lube quality is good, but additional lubing or filming (adding a thin layer between housing parts to reduce wobble and noise) could further improve smoothness and sound.
