Product Description

This tactile switch suits users who want noticeable feedback without excessive force. It offers a moderate actuation force and a clear tactile bump early in the keypress. This makes it a good option for typists who prefer physical confirmation of key activation. It is less ideal for those seeking a silent or linear experience, or for gamers who prioritize ultra-fast, light keypresses.

Feel & Sound

The switch provides a tactile bump at a shallow travel depth, giving prompt feedback. The actuation force is moderate, requiring deliberate presses that help reduce accidental inputs. It is not silent, producing audible sound typical of tactile switches. The sound profile is neither overly sharp nor muted, suitable for environments where some noise is acceptable.

Actuation Characteristics

With a 2.00mm pretravel and 4.00mm total travel, the switch activates early in the keypress. The bottom-out force is higher, which may feel firmer when fully pressed. This force curve supports accuracy and prevents bottoming out too harshly, but may cause finger fatigue during long sessions for some users.

Build Quality

The housing is made of polycarbonate, which can enhance sound resonance and durability. The stem is POM material with a partial-box design, reducing wobble and improving stability. The spring is gold-plated and 22mm long, contributing to consistent force and longevity. Factory lubrication is applied, which can reduce initial scratchiness and smooth the keystroke.

Compatibility

The switch uses a plate mount design with three pins, compatible with most standard mechanical keyboard PCBs. It supports SMD LEDs, allowing for backlighting customization. It is not hot-swap optimized, so installation requires soldering.

Trade-offs

While factory lubed, the switch may still benefit from additional lubrication for a smoother feel. It is not silent, which can be a drawback in quiet office settings. The moderate actuation force and tactile bump may not suit users who prefer lighter or linear switches. Unknown factors include long-term durability and detailed sound profile nuances.
