Product Description

This linear switch suits users who prefer smooth, consistent keypresses without tactile bumps or clicks. It works well for gamers and typists seeking a light actuation force and moderate travel distance. It is not designed for quiet environments, as it is not silent, and lacks tactile feedback for those who want a more pronounced key response.

Feel & Sound

The switch offers a smooth, linear keystroke with no tactile bump or audible click. It produces a standard sound profile, not optimized for silence, which may be noticeable in quiet settings. The bottom-out feel is firm but not harsh, providing clear feedback when keys are fully pressed.

Actuation Characteristics

It actuates at a relatively light force, making it easy to press quickly and repeatedly. The pre-travel distance is short, allowing for fast key registration, while the total travel is moderate, balancing speed and comfort. The consistent force curve supports rapid typing or gaming without fatigue.

Build Quality

The switch features a POM (polyoxymethylene) top and bottom housing, which can reduce friction for smoother keypresses. The partial box-style POM stem helps limit wobble, improving stability. A 22mm stainless steel spring provides reliable resistance, and factory lubrication reduces initial scratchiness, easing the break-in period.

Compatibility

It uses a 5-pin PCB mount, compatible with most standard mechanical keyboard PCBs. The switch supports SMD LEDs, enabling backlighting options. It is not specified as hot-swap compatible, so soldering is likely required.

Trade-offs

The switch is not silent, which may be a drawback in noise-sensitive environments. While factory lubed, additional lubrication could improve smoothness further. The force variance of 5 cN means some inconsistency between units is possible. It lacks magnetic or capacitive features, limiting advanced input options.
