Feel & Sound

The switch offers a smooth and consistent keystroke with no tactile feedback. Its light actuation force supports fast typing and gaming inputs. The bright clacky sound results from the combination of housing and stem materials, which may not suit noise-sensitive settings.

Actuation Characteristics

With a low actuation force around 42g and a slightly higher bottom-out force near 48g, it provides a responsive yet controlled press. The pre-travel distance of about 2.0mm allows for quick key registration, while the total travel of 3.5mm gives a familiar typing depth. Bottoming out feels firm but not harsh.

Build Quality

The switch uses a modified PA top housing and PA6 bottom housing, contributing to its sound and smoothness. The POM stem reduces friction for consistent keypresses. Factory lubrication helps minimize scratchiness, improving initial smoothness.

Compatibility

It features a 5-pin design compatible with most PCBs and supports SMD RGB lighting, making it suitable for custom builds with lighting effects. The 5-pin layout also ensures stable mounting on compatible plates and PCBs.

Trade-offs

The bright clacky sound may be distracting in quiet environments. While factory lubed, additional lubrication or filming could further reduce noise and wobble, but this requires user modification. Unknown if the switch has any spring ping or long-term durability issues.
