Product Description

This switch offers adjustable tactility, allowing users to switch between clicky, tactile, and linear feels by repositioning an internal leaf. It suits typists or enthusiasts who want a versatile switch that can be customized to their preferred feedback without buying multiple switch types. It is not silent and produces a distinct click sound, making it less ideal for quiet office environments.

Feel & Sound

  • Provides three distinct feedback modes: clicky with audible feedback, tactile with a bump, or smooth linear.
  • Click sound is deep but not overly loud for a clicky switch.
  • Highly tactile option offers strong feedback, favored by users who prefer pronounced keypress sensations.

Actuation Characteristics

  • Light actuation force of 32g allows for quick keypresses with low fatigue.
  • Bottom-out force is moderate at 40g, which some users may find light and consider swapping springs for heavier resistance.
  • Standard 2 mm actuation point and 4 mm total travel provide familiar mechanical switch behavior.

Build Quality & Compatibility

  • Clear polycarbonate housing and POM stem contribute to durability and consistent feel.
  • PCB mount with 5 pins supports stable installation and SMD LED compatibility.
  • Not compatible with Costar stabilizers due to the click leaf design.
  • Unlubed from factory, which may result in initial scratchiness until broken in or lubricated.

Modification Potential

  • Switch leaf can be repositioned to change between clicky, tactile, and linear modes, offering customization without replacing switches.
  • Mod requires opening the switch, which voids warranty and risks damage since spare parts are not available.
  • Users can swap springs to adjust bottom-out force, as some find the default springs too light.

Trade-offs

  • Requires manual modification to change feel, which may be challenging or risky for some users.
  • Not silent, so less suitable for noise-sensitive environments.
  • Unlubed switches may feel scratchy initially, needing break-in or user lubrication.
  • Limited spare parts availability means damaged switches cannot be easily repaired.
