Product Description

The Lenovo Legion K7 is a compact 98% mechanical keyboard designed for gamers who need fast response times and flexible connectivity. It suits users who want a smaller layout without losing essential keys, and those who value switch customization and wireless options. Its design balances desk space savings with gaming performance, but it omits the Home Cluster keys, which may affect some workflows.

Key Features

Triple connection modes let you switch easily between Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired USB Type-C, providing versatility for different devices and use cases.
98% layout reduces desk footprint by about 20% compared to full-sized keyboards, retaining alphanumeric, numeric keypad, and function keys but missing Home Cluster keys.
Hot-swappable PCB allows changing switches without soldering, enabling users to customize typing feel or replace switches as needed.
Dye-sublimated PBT keycaps offer durable, wear-resistant legends and a smooth, matte texture that resists shine over time.

Typing Experience and Build Quality

Equipped with Gateron G Pro Yellow switches, which have short travel and quick actuation, suitable for fast-paced gaming where response speed matters.
Silicone padding between the PCB and metal plate softens keystroke acoustics and stabilizes the typing feel, reducing harsh sounds.
Adjustable 6° feet allow users to set a comfortable typing angle.

Connectivity

Supports wired USB Type-C for stable, low-latency connection during intense gaming sessions.
Wireless 2.4GHz mode offers a reliable connection with minimal interference, suitable for desktop use without cables.
Bluetooth mode enables easy pairing with multiple devices, useful for switching between computers or mobile devices.
Mode switching is controlled by a physical slider, simplifying transitions between connection types.

Compatibility

Supports both Windows and Mac operating systems, accommodating users across platforms.
Layout includes standard alphanumeric, numeric keypad, and function keys but lacks dedicated Home Cluster keys, which may limit some shortcuts or navigation workflows.

Trade-offs

Missing Home Cluster keys may inconvenience users who rely on Insert, Delete, Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys.
White backlighting offers limited customization compared to RGB options, which may be less appealing for users wanting extensive lighting effects.
Battery life details are unspecified, though intelligent power management aims to extend usage between charges.
