What layout does the Lofree Flow Lite 2 84 use?

It has an 84-key, 75% layout with a US QWERTY ANSI arrangement. The compact design keeps the function row and arrow keys while taking up less desk space than a full-size keyboard.

Can I connect it to more than one kind of device?

Yes. The keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.3, a 2.4 GHz wireless connection using the included dongle, and a wired connection through USB-C. This gives you options for pairing wirelessly or using a cable.

Is the Lofree Flow Lite 2 84 compatible with Mac and Windows?

It is compatible with both Mac and Windows. Its US QWERTY ANSI layout is consistent across systems, though specific key functions can vary depending on your operating system and configuration.

What do the switches feel like?

The included low-profile switches have a linear feel, so the keystroke moves smoothly without a tactile bump. They use POM stems and housings and have a 45 g actuation force.

Can I change the switches myself?

Yes. The Flow Lite 2 84 has hot-swap sockets, allowing you to replace its switches without soldering. Because it uses a low-profile design, check that replacement switches are compatible with the keyboard before choosing them.

How can I customize the keys?

The keyboard supports VIA and Lofree Hub for programming and customization. The available options depend on the software and your setup, so use the appropriate configuration tool for your preferred workflow.

Does it have backlighting, and can the key legends show through?

Yes. It has white, north-facing LED backlighting and double-shot PBT keycaps with shine-through legends, so light can pass through the characters on the keys.

What is the horizontal knob for?

The Flow Lite 2 84 includes a horizontal volume knob for convenient audio-level adjustments without reaching for your computer's on-screen controls.

How long does the battery last?

It has a rechargeable 3000 mAh battery. Battery life varies with connection method and use, particularly when the backlighting is on; a specific runtime is not provided.

Is this a full-height keyboard?

No. It is a low-profile mechanical keyboard with an ABS case and a gasket-mount design. Its shorter profile and compact layout make it a different typing setup from a conventional full-height, full-size board.

Does the connection mode affect polling rate?

The stated maximum polling rate is 1000 Hz in wired and 2.4 GHz modes. A polling rate for Bluetooth is not specified.

What keycaps are included on the Lofree Flow Lite 2 84?

It comes with double-shot PBT keycaps featuring shine-through legends. PBT is the keycap material, while the double-shot construction forms the legends as part of the keycap rather than simply printing them on.

Product Description

The Lofree Flow Lite 2 84 is a low-profile compact keyboard for users who want a slimmer typing setup, wireless flexibility, and room to change switches. Its linear switches suit people who prefer a smooth keypress, while hot-swap sockets and VIA support offer some scope to customize. It is less suited to anyone seeking a standard-height board or a sound profile confirmed by testing.

Typing and customization

The linear switches have a stated 45g actuation force, so keypresses do not have a tactile bump. A gasket mount, which uses flexible cushioning between the plate and case, is intended to soften the typing feel. No sound level or battery life is specified, so consider those unknown. Hot-swap sockets let you replace compatible switches without soldering, and VIA or Lofree Hub can be used for programming.

Connectivity and compatibility

Use Bluetooth for a wireless setup, 2.4GHz for a dedicated wireless connection, or USB-C for wired use. The stated 1000Hz polling rate applies in wired and 2.4GHz modes. It supports both Windows and Mac, and its shine-through legends pair with white backlighting for visibility in dim settings.

Trade-offs

The ABS case keeps the design low-profile, but those seeking a heavier metal case may prefer another build.
Its low-profile format changes the hand position compared with standard-height keyboards, which may not suit every typist.
Lighting is white only, and wireless runtime is unknown.
