Product Description

The Rog Nano20 is a programmable macro pad for people who want dedicated shortcuts and rotary controls beside a main keyboard. It suits streamers, gamers, and users of creative or productivity software who are willing to configure controls for their workflows. It is not a substitute for a full typing keyboard.

Controls and customization

The compact key grid and three knobs can be assigned to macros, shortcuts, or controls such as volume. VIA support lets you remap keys, edit macros, and configure layers without flashing firmware. Multiple saved layers can separate app or game layouts, while onboard memory keeps configurations on the device. A small display shows the active layer and assigned shortcuts, helping you check which controls are in use.

Build and feel

The CNC-machined aluminum top and transparent PC base give it a mixed-material construction. Pre-lubed switches and internal dampening are intended to soften the typing feel and sound, while the knobs provide tactile control. Specific sound levels and switch replacement support are unknown.

Trade-offs

  • It needs setup to deliver its main benefit, and configuring layers may take time.
  • The small layout favors shortcuts over ordinary typing, so it works best alongside a full keyboard.
  • GIF support is described as a future firmware feature, not a current capability.
  • Connectivity and operating system compatibility are unknown.
