What makes the Eave65 Plus different from other 65% keyboards?

The Eave65 Plus stands out with its silicone gasket mount design, which provides a softer, more cushioned typing experience compared to traditional mounting styles. Additionally, it includes a silicone weight that enhances the keyboard's stability without adding excessive weight, making it both portable and comfortable to type on.

Is the Eave65 Plus compatible with custom keycaps and switches?

Yes, the Eave65 Plus features a hot-swappable PCB that allows you to easily install and replace mechanical switches without soldering. This makes it highly versatile for customizing your typing feel. It also supports standard MX-style keycaps, so you can personalize your keyboard's appearance to your liking.

Can I program the keys on this keyboard?

Absolutely. The Eave65 Plus uses a VIA-compatible PCB, which means you can customize key layouts, macros, and lighting through the VIA software interface. This makes it easy to tailor the keyboard to your workflow or gaming preferences without needing advanced technical knowledge.

What materials are used in the construction of the Eave65 Plus?

The keyboard case and plate are made from durable polycarbonate (PC), which offers a good balance of sturdiness and lightweight design. Silicone gaskets and a silicone weight are incorporated to improve typing comfort and overall feel, providing a premium yet resilient build quality.

How ergonomic is the typing angle of the keyboard?

The Eave65 Plus features a fixed typing angle of 7°, which is designed to reduce wrist strain during extended typing sessions. This angle, combined with the silicone gasket mount, contributes to a comfortable, responsive typing experience suitable for both work and gaming.

Does the keyboard come with any sound dampening features?

Yes, it includes a foam kit as part of the build, which helps to dampen sound and reduce vibrations inside the case. This results in a quieter typing experience, making the keyboard more pleasant to use in shared or quiet environments.

Are there different color options available for this keyboard?

The Eave65 Plus is available in multiple transparent-themed colors, including Transparent, Transparent Black, Warm White, and Cool White. These options cater to different aesthetic preferences, allowing users to choose a style that fits their setup.

Is assembly difficult if I want to build the keyboard myself?

The keyboard is designed with user-friendliness in mind. Improvements to the daughterboard reduce assembly difficulties, and the hot-swap PCB eliminates the need for soldering switches. The kit includes all necessary components, making it approachable even for those new to custom keyboard building.
