Product Description

The Varmilo VA Series V2 Sakura Round 2 is a full-size mechanical keyboard designed for users who want flexible connectivity and a quiet typing experience with a distinctive pink and white color scheme. It suits office workers or casual typists who value wireless convenience alongside wired reliability, and prefer Cherry MX switches for consistent key feel. It is less ideal for users needing hot-swappable switches or advanced customization options.

Key Features

Dual connectivity with wired USB-C and Bluetooth allows seamless switching between up to three devices, supporting multitasking across computers or mobile devices.
Wired mode offers full N-key rollover for accurate key detection, while wireless mode supports 6-key rollover, balancing performance and power use.
Thick dye-sublimated PBT keycaps provide durable legends that resist wear and maintain a consistent texture over time.
Multimedia keys are included for quick access to common functions, enhancing productivity without extra software.

Build Quality and Design

Plastic case with a plate-mounted switch design ensures stable keypresses and straightforward maintenance.
Sound-proof silicone pads between the PCB and mounting plate reduce typing noise, making it suitable for quiet environments.
Double-section kickstand offers adjustable typing angles for ergonomic comfort.
Cable grooves on the bottom allow flexible cable routing to fit different desk setups.
North-facing LEDs and relocated indicator lights minimize visual distractions during use.

Typing Experience

Cherry MX switches provide reliable tactile or linear feedback depending on the variant, catering to different typing preferences.
Sound dampening features contribute to a quieter typing sound compared to typical mechanical keyboards.
Non-hot-swappable switches limit switch replacement or customization without soldering.

Compatibility and Layout

ANSI full-size layout with US QWERTY supports standard key arrangements for broad software compatibility.
Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems without requiring additional drivers.
No built-in audio or microphone ports, so external peripherals are necessary for sound input/output.

Trade-offs

Lack of hot-swap support restricts easy switch changes for users who want to customize typing feel frequently.
Wireless mode limits key rollover to 6 keys, which may affect fast or complex key combinations in gaming or specialized software.
Plastic construction may feel less robust compared to metal-bodied keyboards.
