Product Description

The Varmilo VPG108 CMYK is a full-size mechanical keyboard designed for users who want a versatile, customizable typing experience with a colorful aesthetic. It suits typists and general users who value hot-swappable switches for easy customization and prefer a standard ANSI layout with multimedia keys. Its RGB backlighting and thick PBT keycaps add durability and visual appeal, making it a practical choice for office or home use.

Key Features

Hot-swappable PCB allows users to change Cherry MX Brown or Red switches without soldering, enabling easy switch customization or replacement.
RGB backlighting provides adjustable lighting effects, useful for working in low-light environments or personalizing the keyboard’s look.
Multimedia keys offer quick access to media controls, enhancing convenience during work or entertainment.
Double-layer silicone sound absorption reduces typing noise, improving acoustic comfort in shared spaces.

Typing Experience

The keyboard uses Cherry MX Brown or Red switches, offering tactile feedback or a linear feel depending on preference. Thick dye-sublimated PBT keycaps resist wear and provide a textured surface for consistent typing. The Varmilo keycap profile supports comfortable finger positioning over extended typing sessions. Sound absorption features help moderate key noise, making it suitable for quieter environments.

Connectivity and Compatibility

The VPG108 CMYK connects via USB-C to USB-A, ensuring compatibility with most Windows systems. It supports N-key rollover (NKRO), allowing multiple simultaneous key presses without input loss. The ANSI layout and US QWERTY logical layout suit users accustomed to standard full-size keyboards.

Trade-offs

No wireless option, limiting portability and use with devices lacking USB-A ports without adapters.
Absence of magnetic or Hall Effect PCB means no advanced switch sensing technologies.
Limited to Cherry MX Brown and Red switch options, which may not satisfy users seeking other switch types.
Prebuilt assembly means less flexibility for users wanting to customize beyond switches and keycaps.
