Product Description

This linear switch targets users who prefer a deep, smooth keystroke with a pronounced thock sound. It suits typists and gamers looking for a longer travel distance and a heavier bottom-out feel. The switch is factory lubed for smoother operation and designed to deliver a refined typing experience with reduced scratchiness compared to earlier models.

Feel & Sound

  • Offers a deep, thocky sound profile, making keystrokes feel substantial without tactile feedback.
  • Smoother than many film switches due to factory lubrication on stem feet, spring, and housing rails, reducing scratchiness.
  • Longer total travel of about 4.0mm creates a more deliberate keypress and a firmer bottom-out sensation.

Actuation Characteristics

  • Operating force around 45g provides moderate resistance suitable for both typing and gaming.
  • Pre-travel of 2.0mm means the key registers after a relatively long initial press, favoring accuracy over speed.
  • Bottom-out force near 53g adds noticeable feedback at the end of the stroke, which some users may find satisfying or fatiguing.

Build Quality

  • Uses a T5 stem and P4 bottom housing, materials chosen to deepen the sound and feel.
  • Top housing made of polycarbonate contributes to the smoothness and sound characteristics.
  • Spring is a 22mm KOS single-stage extended type, balancing force and travel length.

Compatibility & Limitations

  • Does not support keycaps with inner support frames or those thicker than 1.7mm, as this causes collisions with the switch housing.
  • Unknown compatibility with specific PCB or plate mount types.
  • Not suitable if you require shorter travel or lighter actuation force.
