Product Description

The HMX SNOWFALL TACTILE EDITION is a high-performance mechanical switch designed for users who seek exceptional tactile feedback combined with smooth and reliable operation. Engineered with precision components and thoughtful design, it offers a unique typing experience that stands out in the world of mechanical switches.

Design and Construction

This switch features a transparent polycarbonate top housing embedded with sparkling elements, giving it a visually striking appearance while maintaining durability. The bottom housing is crafted from modified nylon, enhancing the switch's structural integrity and providing a stable base for consistent performance.

Stem and Travel Characteristics

The stem is designed with a long pole and a total travel distance of 3mm, ensuring a satisfying and responsive keypress. It includes a pre-travel distance of 2mm, allowing for precise actuation points that improve typing accuracy and speed.

Spring and Actuation Force

  • Spring length: 22mm
  • Actuation force: 50g
  • Single-stage spring design for consistent resistance

The spring provides a balanced 50-gram force, delivering a tactile bump that is both noticeable and comfortable without being overly stiff. This makes it suitable for extended typing sessions and gaming alike.

Tactility and Performance

Designed by TR, the tactile profile of this switch is engineered to surpass typical tactile feedback, offering a pronounced and satisfying bump that enhances typing responsiveness. The tactile sensation is sharp yet smooth, reducing finger fatigue and increasing typing confidence.

Factory Lubrication

The switch comes with HMX factory-standard lubrication, ensuring smooth keystrokes and reducing friction noise. This lubrication contributes to a quieter and more refined typing experience right out of the box.

Key Features Summary

  • Transparent polycarbonate top housing with embedded sparkles for aesthetic appeal
  • Modified nylon bottom housing for durability and stability
  • Long pole stem with 3mm total travel and 2mm pre-travel
  • 22mm, 50g single-stage spring for balanced tactile feedback
  • Designed by TR for enhanced tactile performance
