Product Description

This tactile mechanical switch suits users who want a noticeable bump with moderate resistance for typing or gaming. It offers a firm tactile feedback without being silent, making it suitable for those who prefer a clear keypress feel and sound. It fits standard MX-compatible keyboards with PCB mount and supports SMD LEDs.

Feel & Sound

  • Delivers a medium to strong tactile bump, providing clear feedback on actuation.
  • Produces a medium clacky sound, which is neither too loud nor muted.
  • Light factory lubrication results in a smooth feel with minimal scratchiness.
  • Spring noise may be noticeable but can be reduced with additional lubrication.

Actuation Characteristics

  • Actuation force around 55g with a bottom-out force near 65g offers a firm but not heavy press.
  • Pre-travel of about 2.0mm and total travel near 3.5mm balance responsiveness and key travel distance.
  • Bottoming out feels solid due to the spring and housing design.

Build Quality

  • Uses a proprietary PME material for both top and bottom housing, contributing to durability and sound profile.
  • Stem made from nylon with a long pole design enhances stability and consistent tactility.
  • Spring is gold-plated, which may improve corrosion resistance and longevity.

Modification Potential

  • Light factory lube provides a smooth baseline, reducing the need for immediate lubing.
  • Switch housing fits tightly, so adding films to reduce wobble is generally unnecessary.
  • Additional lubrication can soften sound and eliminate minor spring noise.

Trade-offs

  • Not silent, so less ideal for noise-sensitive environments.
  • Some spring ping may be present before lubing.
  • Wobble is minimal but not completely eliminated without mods.
