Product Description

The KEEBD Lumberjack 5x12 Ortholinear is a split, compact keyboard designed for hobbyists and builders with limited soldering experience. Its ortholinear layout places keys in a grid, which may appeal to users seeking a uniform key arrangement. This keyboard requires assembly, using only through-hole components, making it accessible for those new to soldering. It suits users who want a customizable, programmable keyboard with a visible component aesthetic in a standard 60% case.

Key Features

Split 5x12 ortholinear layout offers a compact and uniform key grid, which can improve typing efficiency for some users.
Fully through-hole components simplify soldering, reducing build complexity compared to surface-mount designs.
Supports both USB Mini and USB-C connections, providing flexibility for wired setups.
Runs QMK firmware and is configurable via Via software, allowing extensive key remapping and customization.
Includes an ATMEGA328P microcontroller with a pre-flashed bootloader, so firmware flashing is straightforward after assembly.

Build Quality and Assembly

Designed for easy assembly with no surface-mount soldering required, suitable for beginners.
Comes with FR4 switch plates made of durable fiberglass material, available for MX or Alps switches.
Requires a separate 60% keyboard case and switches, allowing users to choose preferred materials and switch types.
Includes an acrylic component cover that exposes the visible through-hole components for a distinctive look.

Compatibility and Customization

Compatible with MX and Alps switch types, expanding switch options.
