What kind of keyboard is the XVX M75 Lumina Forged Carbon?

It’s a compact 75% keyboard with 80 keys and a dedicated knob. The layout keeps the function row and arrow keys while taking up less desk space than a full-size keyboard. It uses a US ANSI layout.

Is the forged-carbon case made from carbon fiber?

The listed case material is plastic, so the forged-carbon name describes the keyboard’s design rather than a carbon-fiber case. The keyboard weighs about 0.9 kg with its keycaps, giving it a substantial feel for its size.

How can I connect the M75 Lumina?

It supports three connection modes: wired USB-C, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz wireless. USB-C is useful when you want a wired connection, while Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz let you use it without a cable.

What are the XVX Ice Pro switches like?

The XVX Ice Pro switches are linear, so their keypress travels smoothly without a tactile bump or click. This style can suit both gaming and everyday typing, especially if you prefer an uninterrupted keystroke.

Can I change the switches?

Yes. The M75 Lumina supports hot-swapping, so you can replace compatible switches without soldering. Check that any replacement switches match the keyboard’s socket and electrical requirements before installing them.

What does the knob do?

The knob can switch between controlling volume and changing the RGB lighting. It gives you a quick way to adjust those settings without reaching for separate keyboard shortcuts.

How are the keys and lighting designed?

The keycaps combine PBT and PC and use double-shot molding, with a Cherry profile. The board also has RGB lighting; the keycap and switch materials let the illumination show through for a more pronounced lighting effect.

What is the mounting style, and how might it feel while typing?

The keyboard uses a leaf-spring gasket mounting style. This construction is intended to provide some give as you press the keys, rather than the completely rigid feel of a traditional fixed mount.

How long does the battery last?

It has an 8000mAh battery, but actual runtime depends on factors such as wireless mode and RGB use. The listed charging input is 5V at 500mA; the product specifications don’t provide a fixed runtime.

Which devices and operating systems can I use it with?

Listed compatibility includes Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. Compatibility and available keyboard functions can vary by device, connection mode, and game.

Will it fit on a smaller desk?

Its 75% layout is designed to save space while keeping commonly used keys such as the arrow keys and function row. The dimensions are approximately 325.55 × 138.55 mm, with a height of about 31–42.21 mm depending on the side.

Product Description

The XVX M75 Lumina is a compact 75% board for users who want wireless options, a volume and lighting control knob, and switches they can replace. Its linear switches suit people who prefer a smooth press without a tactile bump. It is less suited to anyone who needs a full-size layout or a confirmed quiet typing sound.

Features and typing

The knob can control volume or RGB lighting, giving quick access without relying on keyboard shortcuts. Hot-swap support lets you change compatible switches without soldering, which is useful for experimenting or replacing a switch. The leaf-spring gasket mount uses flexible supports to soften the connection between plate and case, though the resulting feel and sound are not specified.

The switches are linear, but their force, sound level, and typing feel are unknown. The keycaps combine PBT and PC, and use a Cherry profile.

Connectivity and compatibility

Use USB-C for a wired setup, or Bluetooth and 2.4GHz for wireless use. The vendor does not provide latency figures or battery runtime, so wireless performance and time between charges are unknown. The listed compatibility includes Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, and several game consoles.

Trade-offs

Despite the Forged Carbon name, the listed case material is plastic, and carbon construction is not confirmed. The US ANSI layout may not suit users who need another regional layout. Consider this board if its compact layout and flexible connections matter more than a full-size key set or verified acoustic performance.
