What makes the Aurora 80’s typing experience unique?

The Aurora 80 features a five-layer acoustic dampening structure, including a full-surround IXPE foam. This design minimizes metallic ping and unwanted resonance, resulting in a rich, satisfying sound profile and a soft, pleasant key feel with every press.

Can I use the PMO Aurora 80 with multiple devices?

Absolutely! The keyboard supports triple connection modes—USB-C wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless. You can seamlessly switch between your computer, tablet, or even your phone, making it perfect for multitasking across different devices.

How customizable is the lighting on this keyboard?

The Aurora 80 offers immersive 270° side halo RGB lighting, a glowing front logo, and vibrant underglow backlighting. You can customize effects through QMK-VIA, a web-based configurator, or the dedicated client software. For an extra touch, the music rhythm mode syncs lighting with your favorite tunes using the official software.

What materials are used in the construction of the Aurora 80?

This keyboard is crafted with an aluminum alloy body and a PVD brushed stainless steel top plate. The finish is achieved through a dual-layer process combining a pure-color electrophoresis primer and a glitter-infused epoxy resin coat, giving it a sparkling, starry appearance that’s both visually stunning and durable.

Is the PMO Aurora 80 compatible with VIA software?

Yes, the Aurora 80 is fully compatible with VIA, allowing for easy key remapping, macro programming, and lighting customization. It also supports a self-developed web driver and a dedicated desktop client for deeper adjustments.

How long does the battery last on a single charge?

Thanks to its high-capacity 8000mAh battery, the Aurora 80 can last for many days of regular use on a single charge, even with the RGB lighting enabled. Actual battery life will depend on your lighting settings and connection mode.

What type of switches does the Aurora 80 use?

It comes equipped with Kailh Luna linear switches, featuring a smooth keystroke with an actuation force of 45g and a total travel distance of 3.5mm. They're compatible with most MX-style keycaps, so you can easily personalize your typing feel.

Can I customize the keycaps and switches?

Definitely! The keyboard supports hot-swappable switches, so you can easily change out the Kailh Luna switches for your preferred type. The standard cross-stem design ensures compatibility with a wide range of keycap sets.

How heavy is the Aurora 80?

Weighing in at approximately 2.3 kg, the Aurora 80 has a substantial, premium feel that helps keep it firmly in place on your desk during intense typing or gaming sessions.

Does the Aurora 80 support music-reactive lighting effects?

Yes! Using the official client software, you can enable Music Rhythm 3.0, which synchronizes the keyboard’s lighting with your music for a dynamic, immersive experience. This feature works with both the global and side lighting zones.

Build Quality

Brushed stainless steel top plate with PVD coating enhances durability and provides a tactile, industrial feel.
Aluminum alloy body with a gasket-mounted structure, which helps reduce typing noise and adds a softer keypress.
Unique dual-layer coating on the case offers a textured, glitter-infused finish that resists fingerprints and adds visual depth.

Typing Experience

Equipped with Kailh Luna linear switches, requiring 45±10gf actuation force, suitable for users preferring smooth, consistent keypresses without tactile bumps.
Five-layer acoustic filling and IXPE foam reduce harsh sounds, making it better for quiet environments or shared spaces.
Gasket mounting provides a cushioned typing feel by isolating the plate from the case.
