HMX Nono Linear Switches

HMX Nono is a linear switch for users who want a crisp, clacky sound with a rounder, less sharp character than louder-sounding clack switches. Its smooth, medium-weight feel suits general typing if you prefer an uninterrupted press over tactile feedback. It is not a quiet switch, so it may be a poor fit for noise-sensitive shared spaces.

Feel and sound

The press is smooth, with a focused, rounded bottom-out and a crisp sound on release. Its filled stem and close-fitting housings help give the sound a more contained character. The travel is a little shorter than a traditional full-travel switch, but it is not an especially short-travel design.

Build and tuning

The LY stem and revised factory lubrication are intended to reduce friction during travel. Factory lubrication is applied during production, which can improve smoothness without requiring immediate manual tuning. The top housing is PA12, and the P4 bottom housing contains some glass fiber.

Trade-offs

• Good if you want clacky feedback with a fuller, less piercing tone.
• Less suitable if you need a quiet switch or prefer a tactile bump.
• The medium-weight press is a balanced option, but may not suit users seeking a very light or heavy feel.
