Design and Build

The SU COLOR R2 Purple Linear Edition is the second switch designed by WJBY studio and stands out as the first HMX switch to feature a full PA12 housing. This material choice ensures durability and a premium feel. The switch is designed with a linear mechanism, providing smooth keystrokes without tactile bumps.

Sound Profile

One of the defining features of this keyboard switch is its sound profile. Paired with the T5 stem, it produces a subtle and relatively deep clack sound. The T series stem is renowned at HMX for creating deeper sound signatures, and the T5 stem is no exception, offering the deepest sound among its peers. While the sound is deeper than other HMX switches, it maintains the iconic solid bottom-out sound that users expect.

Factory Lubing

The SU COLOR R2 Purple Linear Edition comes with improved factory lubing, eliminating leaf ticks and unwanted noises. The mixed GPL105 & GPL205 lubricant is applied to the leaf spring, stem feet, and bottom housing rails, while a dry film lube is used on the springs. This meticulous lubing process ensures a smooth and quiet operation.
