Product Description

The Space Cables AM Relic 80 is a keyboard designed with a futuristic aesthetic and innovative features. It is a tribute to the classic 80% keyboard design, with a unique twist that sets it apart from other keyboards in the market. The keyboard is targeted towards enthusiasts and individuals who appreciate both timeless elegance and cutting-edge technology.

Main Features

The AM Relic 80 features an eroded design inspired by the "Brillo Box" created by artist Daniel Arsham. This design gives the keyboard a distinct and futuristic look. The upper and lower case corners are equipped with RGB lighting in a diamond pattern, adding a touch of elegance to the overall aesthetic. The keyboard is available in both WKL (winkeyless) and TKL (tenkeyless) layouts, providing options for different user preferences.

Material and Build

The keyboard boasts a CNC machined metal body, which not only enhances its durability but also adds a premium feel to the overall design. The top cover of the keyboard takes 4 hours to craft, ensuring meticulous attention to detail. The edges of the keyboard are machined using a ball cutter to recreate the eroded design elements, further enhancing its unique appearance. The internal structure consists of 8 layers, guaranteeing a satisfying typing sound. The keyboard also features a 1.2mm 4-layer hotswap PCB, allowing users to easily change switches according to their preferences.

Connectivity

The AM Relic 80 offers versatile connectivity options to suit different user needs. It supports Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C wired connectivity out of the box, ensuring seamless automatic switching between devices. Additionally, the keyboard is tri-mode ready, with low latency 2.4G hardware support built-in. This feature can be enabled through a software update, and an additional 2.4G receiver will be provided in the future. The keyboard also supports wireless charging using the Qi protocol, making it convenient for users who prefer a cable-free setup.

Personalization

Users can personalize their typing experience with the AM Relic 80. The keyboard offers customizable in-switch RGB lighting, allowing users to create their desired lighting effects. Key remapping is also possible, giving users the flexibility to assign different functions to specific keys. Additionally, the keyboard supports aesthetic customizations like backlighting, allowing users to create a visually appealing setup. Angry Miao's proprietary software provides further customization options, making it easy for users to personalize their experience.

Special Features

In addition to its unique design and customizable features, the AM Relic 80 offers several special features. It includes USB pass-through, allowing users to conveniently connect other devices to their setup. The keyboard also features dedicated media controls, providing quick and easy access to volume adjustments, playback controls, and more. These extra features enhance the overall user experience and make the AM Relic 80 a versatile and functional keyboard.
