Product Description

The Varmilo Sword 216 Flying Tigers Numpad is a wired numeric keypad designed for users who want a durable, visually distinctive accessory with reliable typing performance. It suits professionals or hobbyists needing a dedicated numpad with a solid metal build and white LED backlighting. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, making it versatile for various setups.

Key Features

White LED backlighting improves visibility in low-light environments without overwhelming brightness.
Detachable magnetic top case allows for easy customization and visual variation.
Full multimedia key support enables quick access to common functions beyond numeric input.
Uses Varmilo EC mechanical switches, offering a distinct tactile feel compared to more common switch types.

Build Quality

Constructed from CNC-machined aluminum, providing a sturdy and stable base that resists flex and wear.
Four-stage color separation design adds visual depth, visible from multiple angles.
Plate-mounted switches contribute to a firm typing feel and consistent keypress registration.
PBT keycaps with dye-sublimated legends ensure durability and resistance to shine over time.

Compatibility and Layout

ANSI physical layout with US QWERTY logical layout fits standard numpad usage patterns.
Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux, supporting broad operating system use without additional drivers.
Does not support hot-swapping, so switch replacement requires soldering skills.

Trade-offs

No wireless connectivity, limiting placement flexibility to wired setups.
Lacks built-in audio or microphone ports, so it cannot serve as a hub for these devices.
Not a barebones kit, so it comes pre-assembled with fixed switches, reducing customization for switch enthusiasts.
